Acer is making the switch to OLED on its external computer monitors in two new formats

It seems that Acer has signed a contract with LG Display. In fact, the Taiwanese manufacturer announced two OLED screens for PC that are similar to LG screens.

The transition to OLED continues in the PC world. The Taiwanese company, Acer, has revealed two new external screens. Both are OLED.

Before, to find an external OLED screen, you had to pay a fortune. The first OLEDs made it to laptops, and then to the first external displays. Initially in 34-inch format, later in different diagonal sizes. Here, Acer unveils two products that are very similar to the LG UltraGear, which means that these screens use LG Display’s WOLED panels.

Either a classic format flat screen or an ultra wide curved screen

There is the Acer Predator X27U, a 27-inch flat screen, and the Predator X45, a 45-inch HD screen. Curved at 800R. Both displays have a QHD resolution, at 240Hz with very low latency.

The Predator X45 and Predator X27U both support 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and are equipped with a DisplayPort 1.4 port and two HDMI 2.0 ports, are compatible with PCs and consoles, and are TÜV Rheinland EyeSafe certified. OLED panels are HDR10 compliant with a maximum brightness of 1000 net. On the ergonomic side, it rests on an adjustable metal base.

Prices With these characteristics, the Predator X45 monitor will be available in the second quarter for 1,799 euros. While the Predator X27U will cost 1099 euros.
