The Peugeot 103 covers 6,700 km from New York to Los Angeles

Fundraising for hemophilia research

Going on a motorcycle road trip is an opportunity for you to breathe freedom and discover new frontiers. But it can also be an opportunity to do a good deed.

This is the case with the project Hemophonies He is led by a mixed family of Hot-Savoy who wants to cross the United States from east to west to raise funds for hemophilia research. Philip and Laurie actually want to leave New York and travel at least 6,700 kilometers on their Peugeot 103 (40km / h) handle to reach Los Angeles.

Their son was diagnosed with severe hemophilia A when he was 5 years old. Faced with the severity of the disease, which requires two or three intravenous injections each week, the man and his partner have decided to invest in raising awareness about bleeding disorders and assisting with research.

In 2018, the couple organized their first project by walking from the headquarters of the Association Francis des Hemopiles in Paris to their 15th Arrondissement to their home in Les Carros d’Arches. After 22 days and 600 km, they were able to raise 25,000 euros for the hemophilia research fund.

With their new project Hemobunis (abbreviation for Hemobilia, Mobiles and the United States), the couple is currently looking for financial partners and donors to support the research to cover the cost of the road trip. A kitty is set up. You can also track the progress of the project from the Hemobunis Facebook page.
