Authorities in Taiwan said 27 Chinese military aircraft entered Taiwan’s air defense zone on Wednesday, as US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi paid a visit.

“27 Chinese military aircraft entered the surrounding area (the air defense identification zone, wider than the airspace) on August 3, 2022,” Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said on Twitter.

In addition, the G7 diplomatic chiefs considered that there was “no justification” for China to use US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan as an “excuse” for “aggressive” military exercises.
“It is normal for members of parliament from our countries to travel internationally. The response in the form of escalation “from China” threatens to increase tensions and destabilize the region, the seven richest countries (US, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and the UK) were sentenced in a press release.
