For six decades, it was Tag Heuer Carrera Synonymous with precision, elegance and sportsmanship. Now, going into high gear, the brand is unveiling its newest Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph 42 mma masterpiece that combines the essence of its rich history with fresh and dynamic design elements.

Jack Heuer, grandson of the company’s founder, introduced the Heuer Carrera in 1963, inspired by the Carrera Panamericana, a 1950s Mexican motorsport. The Carrera Chronograph was intended to be a symbol of ambition, distinction, elegance and charisma for professional drivers, sports car enthusiasts and aspiring watch collectors. Over the years, the Carrera has become an icon that influences watch design and embodies the essence of TAG Heuer.

Paying homage to its roots, the new 42mm TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph features a classic round case, integrated flush lugs and convenient chronograph push buttons at 2 and 4 o’clock. The 3-6-9 sub-dial design, quarter-second scale, and subtle dial detailing evoke 1960s models the original, while two dial options – signature blue and deep black – with a sunray-brushed finish, add a touch of modern sophistication.

What sets the Carrera Chronograph 42mm apart is its sporty and energetic details. A striking orange gradient ring surrounds the dial, tying the applied hour markers and evoking the soaring sound of a speeding racing car. Red chronograph and sub-dial hands, reminiscent of sports car dashboards, enhance readability, while bright orange alternate indices on the small seconds at 6 o’clock and 10-minute/10-second markers on the bezel enhance the watch’s sporty stance.

The Heuer 02 automatic chronograph movement was developed in-house by Tag Heuer, driving the new 42mm Carrera Chronograph models, ensuring the watch’s reliability and high performance. This cutting-edge movement demonstrates the brand’s commitment to innovation, propelling the Carrera chronograph into the future with unwavering precision.

The dial is complemented by high-quality calfskin leather straps, in blue or black, with a stainless steel folding clasp. These straps not only showcase TAG Heuer’s dedication to craftsmanship, but also enhance the overall aesthetic of the watch.
